TOUR OVERVIEW

On this overnight expedition we release baby sea turtles and go exploring for nesting sea turtles. This expedition was created in coordination a community based sea turtle conservation project, which was implemented by The Pure Earth Project and local community in Salinas Grandes.

This is a truly unique expedition where you play a valuable part in sea turtle conservation and community development.

Price $45 US per person
ITINERARY
Day 1
3:00 pm Depart from León.
4:00 pm Arrive in Salinas. Here we will set up camp, people have time to relax, walk along the beach, swim etc.
5:00 pm Fresh fish dinner and beers.
5:30 pm Short presentation on Sea Turtles and the Project.
7:00 pm Take boat to Isla Juan Venado.
7:30 pm Release turtles into ocean
9:00 pm

begin walking the stretch of beach looking for turtles. Distance depends on how you feel. Return to camp during night.

Day 2
7:00 am Breakfast. Pack up camp.
8:00 am Return to León.
