A fun and exhilarating day out!
Designated as a protected area, Cerro Negro (a.k.a black mountain) provides the breath taking location for our action filled Volcano BOARDING tour. After a 40-minute drive to the base, we stand gazing at the black volcano wondering how on earth we are going to climb this ominous mountain. 45 minutes later we are at the top now wondering how on earth we are going to get down. However after some fun and games up there, running into the crater and taking in the expansive views, you quickly conquer any fear. We then have a lesson on volcano boarding and a quick 5meter practice run. Ok, you are ready and waiting for the final push, before you know it the adrenalin is kicking and you are boarding down the side of the volcano at speeds up to 82 km/hr. Our record speed thus far is 82 km/hr.
